Congratulations Chili Chef Deb!

With over 100 in attendance, this years chili cook off was a success by all accounts. Everyone was having such a good time that it was hard to hear. John’s dessert auction was especially great, especially with David’s color commentary.
The honor goes to Deb Hackman who cooked the winning chili. In addition to bragging rights, Deb was honored to receive the chili champion apron, which will bear her name. Furthermore, Deb’s name will be added to the Golden Pot, a trophy reserved for only the best chili cooks.
The real winners were the youth, who raised $2,143, which was divided out to those who helped with the event. This event alone covers 14% of each youth’s travel expenses to the National youth Gathering.
Thank you chili eaters! See you next year.

I didn’t even taste #3
( I think next year I will bring a cafeteria tray so I can just go down the line and get one of each. I’ve heard threats were made to Deb that she will be taken out next year. Sounded more like a promise! Let the year of perfecting recipes for the 2011 battle begin!!!!
